I read a cute book that talks about the 100th day of school called "100th day worries" by Margery Cuyler. It is the story of this little girl Jessica who worries about everything. When the teacher gives the students the assignment to bring in 100 of an item-Jessica stresses about what she could possibly bring in. At the end she brought in 10 each of 10 different items from different people in her family and events. When she showed the teacher, he said she was the first person in all his years of teaching that brought in 100 things of love. This is a cute book to read for the 100th day, after going over what your students brought in for the same assignment as in the story. I like that there was a lesson in the story about how we sometimes can worry a lot about something that we really didn't need to worry about at all. IT can help to teach children coping skills.
